WELCOME to VENICEPosted by aaxan (Tokyo, Japan) on 14 June 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. the masks of Venice. The word mask came via French masque and either Italian maschera or Spanish máscara. Possible ancestors are Latin (not classical) mascus, masca = "ghost", and Arabic maskharah = "jester", "man in masquerade". Why do we have to hide ourselves and try to be others? Anyway, Welcome to VENICE, the most beautiful and romantic place on Earth ever.
