SAGRADA FAMILIA (4)Posted by aaxan (Tokyo, Japan) on 17 July 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual. Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (25 June 1852 – 12 June 1926) – sometimes referred to by the Spanish translation of his name, Antonio Gaudí – was an architect from Catalonia, Spain who belonged to the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) movement and was famous for his unique style and highly individualistic designs. Who would know that this genious architect would end up his life in a hospital for the poor after been hit by a tram. The life of Antonio Gaudi is full of shadows and tears rather than joys and happiness. He has dedicated all his life to the art of architecture in return for nothing like the scuplture hanging the top of Sagrada Familia watching his own Barcelona.
